St. Vincent's Church

Unite plc contracted Cadplan to conduct a Measured Building Survey and provide Massing Model, Topographic Survey, Elevations, Floor Plans, Detailed Survey of Windows and Verticality Checks for the Renovation project of St. Vincent’s Church, Sheffield.

Unite are renovating the former church into much needed student accommodation for the Sheffield area.

The derelict building was first built in the mid-19th Century to cater for Irish Catholics who had to emigrate from Ireland due to the potato famine and had been a place of worship up until services were ended in 1998.

Cadplan delivered the project through 4 requested phases from the client over a 6-month period.

Cadplan’s surveyors were initially on site 3D laser scanning for 7 days using the Faro 120 3D Laser Scanner to survey the church and the immediately surrounding areas.
