First Penthouse Project

First Penthouse, the innovative rooftop construction specialists, commissioned Cadplan to conduct a measured building survey for a rooftop site and its incumbent modular building for their recent projects in London.

The project was featured on Channel 4’s Grand Designs and won the ‘Best Apartment’ category at the London Evening Standard New Homes Awards 2016.

An array of 3D laser scans were organised for the Cheyne Place development of which the roof was originally scanned for roof top apartment designers and then afterwards when steels were in place.

Cadplan travelled to the manufacturing hub of the apartment in Sweden to 3D laser scan all the manufactured sections to ensure compatibility upon construction before they were shipped to London.

The long term project required several site visits; prior and during assembly over a 14 month period.
